Who We Are
This area of the website is to get you aquainted with the head members of the Keuka Outlet Trail Team. Without there support and dedication, the trail would not continue to be what it is today.

Dave Roddy
President of Friends of the Outlet, Inc.
Member of theUnited Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America
I was born in Gunnison, Colorado and spent my formative years in Louisiana, not a true Cajun, but the southern accent is still noticeable.
I joined the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America in 1965, upon completion of high school, 45 years later still a member.
Moved back to Colorado in 1969 with my young family and continued to work in the construction trades. While employed with several companys in the material handling field I have lived in 7 states and worked in 44 of them. I have traveled Europe, Asia and Australia working with Manufacture’s and Distributor’s of material handling equipment.
Presently employed as a contract employee, when need, with United Sortation Solutions based in Owings Mills, Maryland.
My wife, Mary, along with our Australian Sheppard, Starr presently live in Victor, NY and enjoy a small home on Keuka Lake, summers and weekends.
Mary and I joined the Friends of the Outlet in 2005 while enjoying the trail for several years along with Starr. I was elected to the Board of Directors in 2008 as well as President at that time.
Now I get to cut grass, along with trees, paint, repair equipment, clean toilets, attend meeting, pickup trash, the list is endless. I also have the pleasure of working with great friends and neighbors, while enjoying the trail, and giving back to the community.

John Hunter
Board Member and Environmentalist for Friends of the Outlet, Inc.
Member of the Seneca Lake Duck Hunters Association
After 40+ years as a educator, my wife, Linda, and I retired to Keuka Lake. I have been involved with environmental issues for many years including more than 10 years service as an at large member of the Dutchess County NY Environmental Management Council and was appointed by the county legislature to three consecutive three-year terms.
Thus my involvement with the Outlet Trail is simply a continuation of long held views concerning environmental stewardship. In addition to serving on the board of the Outlet, I am also a member of the Seneca Lake Duck Hunters Association. Even though I neither hunt nor fish, I believe that sportsmen contribute both time and money to improve the quality of the environment.
